Gideon Shalwick has used online video to grow his business, and on his channel he shares how you can use video to grow your business. I met Gideon at VidCon 2014 and was very excited when he accepted this interview request before he’d seen any other episodes.
How did Gideon get started:
Gideon started online in 2006 by writing an e-book, but he realized having one book wasn’t a business. He discovered YouTube while looking to generate traffic for his business.
What inspires Gideon:
He gets inspiration, energy and ideas from his audience. And also his shower.
Learning from a mistake:
One of his early mistakes was selecting the wrong audience – specifically, he selected an audience that didn’t have the ability to pay for his product.

His MacBook Pro is his powerhouse.
